"Bending Rules NOT Arms"

This is a very curious piece.
It was a new departure structurally and was very dificult to get right.
The image is derived from Heraldic vernacular but has many
 things in common technically and aesthetically with other pieces.
It seems to come to life more in subdued evening lighting than bright sunlight...weird huh?
